The National Institute of Open Schooling NIOS

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is an initiative by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development that provides a flexible learning and education system for various students. The NIOS allows students to take examinations from distance locations and open schooling by providing them with study material and all the required aid. The NIOS is considered equivalent to CBSE and is a recognized board that falls under the Union Government of India. Each year, many students enroll and pass their secondary and senior secondary examinations through NIOS towards securing sound educational certification. This makes NIOS the largest open learning systems in the world with great functionality and a simplified structure for the students to adopt and gain from.
