Job Description : Function Description : Global Services Group (GSG) brings together the companys external and internal servicing functions, and includes the below world-class organizations : - Global Servicing Network, which provides exceptional care to our external customers, and - Global Business Services, which provides many of the vital internal services that make American Express run efficiently. Global Business Services Global Business Services (GBS) is a shared services organization that brings together key internal functions to support all of American Express. GBS colleagues manage procurement, real estate, sales operations business enablement, and partner with business units to execute complex change initiatives. Purpose of the Role : Research and execute innovative techniques to leverage automation and help teams achieve strategic objectives and deliver an excellent customer experience Responsibilities : - Remain well versed in new technologies in the digital space, automation, robotics and machine learning as well as best practices available in the market - Proactive in introducing new capabilities and garnering support from leadership to test use cases across the organization - Consistent evaluation of digital roadmap with a growth mindset - Supports operations and process owners by working to understand the existing process and evaluate opportunities for automation or streamlining using intelligent Automation - Responsible for consulting with stakeholders when executing change including process owners , finance, legal and compliance as appropriate - Independently handles customers/stakeholders for any queries/escalations - Should be familiar with the responsibilities of a Product owner and Agile methodology . Hands-on experience in defining user stories in JIRA/Rally. Translate annual GSM roadmap into well-defined epics/user stories and features for a product or suite of Products with appropriate acceptance criteria - Software Product evaluation (Compare value proposition offered by different vendors/ partners on various technical and business parameters) , Assessment of complexity of build : Business Outcomes : - Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide guidance on which automation technique would improve operational efficiency and enhance customer experience - Partner with systems capabilities platform owners as well as technology to build and support required platforms - Oversee project lifecycle and delivery along with management of stakeholders expectations and communications.
