Job Description : Application Security Analyst - American Express is embarking on an exciting transformation driven by nimble and creative teams who are shaping our technology and product roadmap. You will be part of an Application Security team who are enabling business and technology initiatives while reducing risk. This role will work with global and local teams to : - Support the remediation, mitigation and closure of known security risks.
-Provide AppSec advisory services to development teams.
-Deliver and support adoption of centralized security tooling.
-Perform Proof-of-Concept solution evaluations for a variety of AppSec products.
-Support developer AppSec education and : Skills Qualifications : - BE or MS in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent experience.
-Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate in English.
-3 years in Application/Software Security including hands-on experience with DAST and SAST tooling and Knowledge of security frameworks and standards, such as OWASP Top 10, NIST and PCI.
-Ability to clearly articulate security risks and assess effectiveness of mitigation techniques.
-Development experience in Java and/or JavaScript based languages - Understanding of SDLC and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools like Jenkins, Maven, Docker, and Git.
-Ability to partner with technical project teams to design, develop and implement solutions to security challenges.
-Knowledge of how to protect applications and infrastructure from common and targeted threats.
-Understanding of software design and architecture design patterns.
-Strong personal leadership, time management and multitasking
