1) ABOUT I-PAC : - Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) (est. April 2015) is Indias first cross-party advocacy group, which endeavors to support the election of visionary, progressive and inclusive leaders to public offices. With our members previously organized under the banner of Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG) (est. 2013), we have been operating in the socio-political domain for the last five years and have been lauded as the - Powerhouse that changed [election] campaigning in India forever- .
-Set up with the ambitious goal of reinventing the socio-political space, I-PAC provides a platform for young professionals to meaningfully associate with electoral politics and contribute to policy making and governance by setting the agenda for incoming governments.
-Political campaigns in India have a lot of scope for technical modernization and advancement.
-There are various areas that can be streamlined using web/app technologies for efficient deliveries. In previous campaigns, our developers were able to make significant technical advancement in all components of political campaigns - logistic management, party membership drive, election result visualization, volunteer management systems, etc. 2) WHO IS I-PAC LOOKING FOR? - Deliver across the entire app life cycle - concept, design, build, deploy, test and support - Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability - Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code, Identify and fix bottlenecks.
-Improve and work on the Mobile Applications UI for optimization and navigation.
-Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. 3) EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND WORK EXPERIENCE - A Bachelor or a Masters degree (preferably in computer science or a related field) - Minimum 3 years of experience in Android mobile app development field.
-Strong OO design and programming skills in Java.
-Hands-on experience with the Android SDK and Eclipse and NDK.
-Hands on experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
-Design and develop high-performance system architectures - Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies - Experience with AJAX, REST, JSON and Map based APIs and Data Visualization.
-Experience with user interface (UX/UI) design desired 4) LOCATION : Our head office is in Hyderabad and we would want someone who could join us with immediate effect.
