Manager/Senior Technical Manager - Windows Infrastructure (9-12 Yrs) Gurgaon/Gurugram (Others)

Purpose of your role : Reporting to the Sr Manager Platform Core, the incumbent will be managing a Global team responsible for the day-to-day support and enhancement of a mixed Windows 2016, 2012 R2, 2008 R2, Virtualization and Cloud services.
-The role will be a combination of managing day to day support activities and project work, with a focus on Business as Usual activities. This will involve liaison at all levels within the Information Systems and Business Communities. Key Responsibilities : - Team Management: Managing a team of highly experienced resources - Working closely with other areas in the Windows Group to understand future production requirements and delivering systems to meet these - Report to Senior management on various activities like patching, data backups and recovery operations, etc.
-Making sure that the team adhere to the various Service Level Agreements (SLAs) - Vendor Management - Operations Management - Ensuring operational security and standards are strictly maintained by all - Monitoring and reporting of the server environment and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) - Participate in and manage technical projects - Ensures all changes to the environment are covered by appropriate Change Control and Qualifications : - Candidate must possess a full-time engineering degree (BE/B.Tech etc) in Computer Science/Information Technology /Electronics from a recognized college/university.
-Between 9-12 years of relevant industry experience specially in financial domain.
-Team management experience of 4-5 years excluding Technical lead experience.
-ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management is desirable.
-Experience within Banking or Finance related business and experience working with large distributed systems strongly recommended - Experience working with Global teams - Experience with Vendor Management - Experience with Operations Management - Excellent analytical, problem solving & communication skills - Manage a team of experienced and multi-skilled windows administrators.
-Analytical and insightful mindset prepared to challenge opinions and approaches to establish suitable solutions - Service oriented - An ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines - Must be able to navigate organization matrix and good at stakeholder management - Organised with good attention to detail Technical : - Basic technical knowledge and understanding of : 1. Microsoft Windows Server Operating System i.e. Windows Server 2016 / 2012 R2 and 2008 R2 2. Windows Features like AD, DNS, DHCP, Failover Clustering IIS, etc. 3. System centre suite of Microsoft products 4. DELL / HP Hardware 5. VMware Virtualization 6. 3rd party and Microsoft Back Office applications like Exchange, Citrix XenApp, SharePoint, etc. 7. Networking, Security and Storage technologies
