As a Systems Administrator - Linux & Windows , you will be responsible for managing the multiple instances of the Cloud infrastructure services in conjunction with the Platform Support department. You will also oversee, and maintain, multi-user computing environments as per the requirements of the organization. REMOTE LOCATION : WORK FROM HOME OPTION What you will do : - Supporting the installation, configuration, and maintenance of virtual cloud instances in Google Compute Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
-Supporting cloud servers including build, security configurations, patching, and troubleshooting.
-Ensuring Stable Operations including backups, recovery, monitoring - Working with internal staff and 3rd party vendors to updating and communicating environment maintenance schedules, refresh schedules, and outages.
-Monitoring and communicating system performance metrics and working with internal staff and 3rd party vendors to resolve any issues - Working with teams across the globe to provide 24x7 service - Participating in new project work What you need to have : MUST HAVE : - Excellent experience administering both Linux and Microsoft servers - Strong experience in Ansible, Puppet or similar Release Orchestration tools - A passion for technology Preference given to : - Cloud experience (prefer GCP, AWS) - 2 to 4 yrs mandatory - Devops tools and practices (e.g. Github, continuous deployments) - Experience supporting application and database servers - Strong technical knowledge of virtual machines (IaaS, Writing Code (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS)) - Ability to think critically; to recognize and anticipate a problem (technical/ operational) and to identify and implement the best solution in a timely manner - Knowledge of emerging technologies (new to the organization as well as those that are new to the information systems industry) - Ability to develop an in-depth knowledge of the organizations information architecture and information management methodology - Strong oral and written communications skills - Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner - Enthusiastic, dynamic self-starter able to own issues to completion Education and training : - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent - 3 to 5 years experience in managing cloud operations infrastructure
