Database Administrator - OracleDB (8-10 Yrs) Bangalore (Systems/Product Software)

Job Description
Responsibilities : - Install and configure database servers - Develop database utilities and automated reporting - Create shell scripts for task automation - Analyze and tune database for optimal efficiency - Restore and recover corrupted databases - Install and test upgrades and patches - Provide 24/7 support for critical situations - Evaluate and recommend new database technologies - Evaluate and provide implementation guidelines for database replication and redundancy Skills Experience requirements : - Installation, Performance Optimization, Backup Recovery of Oracle Databases - Working knowledge of PL/SQL - Working knowledge of Unix (Solaris preferred) - Proficient with RAC - Proficient with data modeling - Data Guard and DBVisit skills in desirable - Oracle Certification preferred - Problem solving Work Experience : 8 to 10 years experience. Minimum Education : - B.E. / B.Tech., M.E. /M. Tech in Computer Science / Electronics Engineering / MCA.
