CRISIL - System Engineer - R/Python (1-6 Yrs) Pune (Systems/Product Software)

JOB DESCRIPTION : Location : Pune Role Summary : - To develop the models in an industry standard platform such as R, MATLAB, Python or proprietary platform based on specifications provided and in line with the appropriate criteria using quantitative techniques like regression, simulation, PD, stochastic calculus etc.
-To provide end-to-end analytical support to model implementation and testing process of credit and cash flow models used in the Ratings Process by creating test cases, reviewing and automating the testing setup and ensuring the model is in-line with the relevant criteria and model specification.
-To perform tests on the models to determine the accuracy and acceptability based on the current market/economic conditions using latest data.
-To provide support in resolving queries with respect to the model and provide fixes to any model related issues.
-To provide support in maintaining the economic/market data used by the model analytics.
-To provide support in research activities associated with models, analytical tools and criteria.
-Follow defined processes in day to day execution of assignments - Ensure that new knowledge gained is retained and documented through operating manuals - Strictly practice and follow all Compliance, Confidentiality, and Information Security Policies, Procedures and Guidelines of the Organization.
-Client Management / Stakeholder Management - Build and maintain relationships with international clients Essential Qualification : - Two years full-time MBA (Finance)/ M. tech, (M.Sc-IIT) Mathematics or Statistics Experience : - 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in Econometrics, Model implementation, Model development and coding. Skills : - Should have Strong quantitative and statistical skills (time series analysis, logistic/ linear regression, stress testing, back testing, decision tree, PD model development, Simulation techniques and stochastic calculus) - Should have hands-on work-experience as a Quant Modeler and developed/validated credit and cash flow models for financial institutions - Should have hands-on experience of statistical software like R, VBA, MATLAB, Python, SAS and C used for modeling purposes - Should have solid analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to isolate and solve issues using large amounts of data - Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills - Should demonstrate very high client focus - Good at Multi-tasking skills. Ability to quickly assimilate comprehend information and deliver within strict deadlines - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Positive attitude with qualities of a team player - Innovative and solution orientation - Ability to take ownership and execute tasks independently - Ability to deal with pressure
