British Telecom - Automation Expert (6-10 Yrs) Gurgaon/Gurugram (Systems/Product Software)

Role Code : SVSO61 Job Family : Team Member Role Title : Automation Expert Typically reports to (role): Manager/ Team Leader within Service Job Family Purpose Of Role : - The role holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of automations of reports, dashboards and metrics calculations for pan-DDSO organisation in GS, for the provision of accurate reporting across all work types whilst ensuring data integrity checks.
-He/she will identify opportunities and risks, and be responsible for generating solutions and recommending courses of actions to drive the business forward.
-He / she will be able to work on complex automations and manage stakeholders requests and expectations throughout the process, building strong relationships across DDSO and beyond GS to deliver results - He/she will manage stakeholders requests with the view of finding avenues of improvement that automation can provide, in terms of efficiencies, quality of insights for the business and savings in terms of TLR / TLC. Key Responsibilities : - To deliver automation based on a detailed understanding of customer requirements and business benefits.
-To collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and then deliver effective automation - To demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills to manage all requests from across DDSO - To identify opportunities to enhance the process by proactively seeking out automation scopes and solutions - To provide support and training on how to use the new automation to free up time for the requestor and improve efficiencies - To take responsibility for the prioritization and delivery of work in line with the requirements of the stakeholders and the pipeline of requests - To present data that is error free from a data integrity perspective, questioning base data provided by other sources wherever possible - To understand the business environment, issues, and how their work contributes to BTs purpose - To complete all mandatory and regulatory compliance training within required timescales - To ensure that BTs Code of Conduct is followed at all times Business Impact : - Contributes directly, through day to day action, to the formal business reporting and therefore, indirectly to strategic decision-making within DDSO Authority/Decision Making : - Works with minimum supervision, seeking assistance where necessary. Skills/Experience : - Minimum 5 years of related work experience - Expertise in MS Excel Modelling and Management - Excellent Excel VBA coding skills - Excellent Access database and automation skills - Demonstrated experience in Sharepoint and web based systems to address related automation requests - Demonstrated SQL experience as well as Oracle Database - Excellent level of numeracy, analytics and data interpretation skills - Excellent communications, team-building skills, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
-Excellent Microsoft Suite of Applications - MS Word, Power-point, Access etc.
-Hands-on experience working with BI and visualization tools like Power BI, OBIEE and Tableau - Ability to test / challenge current thinking and implement new solutions.
-Excellent ability to influence decision makers and operational teams ( Head of and more senior management) - Telecom background preferable but not mandatory
