MIS/SAS Reporting Engineer - People Management (7-12 Yrs) Chennai (Systems/Product Software)

Position : MIS SAS Reporting Position Title : AVP Experience : 7 to 12 Years Location : Chennai Industry : BFSI Employment Type : Full Time, Direct Payroll Key Skills : MIS, Reporting, SAS (Advanced), UNIX, COGNOS, Tableau/ Microstrategy, VBA, Automation etc. Experience : - People management experience mandatory - 7-12 years of relevant work experience in MIS/Reporting/Data analytics/Data Management within Banking/Financial Services/Consulting/Analytics Industry - Career must evidence the following experiences - Program managing a large MIS or Data Management Initiatives - Hands-On knowledge on the following technologies - SAS (Advanced), UNIX, COGNOS, Tableau/Microstrategy, VBA, Automation etc. Core Responsibilities : - MIS /Data Management Capabilities for centralization in GDM COE resulting in consistency and standardization of reports, cost efficiencies of scale, regional governance and control Activities involved include : - Execution and delivery on MIS/Data Management requirements - Rationalization of MIS - Ensure adherence and improvise existing Change Management process - Standardization of metrics and templates - Provide business insights - Creation of new reporting requirements (Regional and Global Reporting) - Process Automation and Enhancements - Development of Self Service Business Intelligence Capabilities - Defining Process documentation and coding standards Communication and Relationship : - Independently manage end-to-end project updates and partner communication across the various levels in the organization. It is extremely critical to develop and maintain smooth relationship with partners across business units Team Management : - Manage a team of 8-10 analysts - Coach all team members by sharing Business, Functional and Technical expertise Day-to-Day Responsibilities : - Be a direct interface of the team with the various stakeholders - Be directly accountable for flawless execution and delivery on meeting the reporting requirements - Ensure adherence to SLAs - Manage and mentor a team of 8-10 information solutions analysts - Continually identify opportunities for advancing the reporting capabilities through process automation and enhancement - Ensure consistency of metrics across reports and adhere to the data quality standards of the team - Define and adherence to coding standards and MIS processes - Manage/Mentor a team of Analysts, Senior Analyst, Principal Analysts in the delivery of respective projects - Design and development of MIS/Data Management activities - Participate in data initiatives to stream line processes, data enrichment and improve the data quality of the reporting process.
-Share best practices developed in the processes across Information solutions group. Identify opportunities to create to deliver value add to the business and lead them Key Deliverables : - Design and development of MIS/Business reporting, Data Standardization Processes, Adhoc analysis. Centralization of projects in COE - On-time delivery and quick TAT, multi-task and manage multiple projects independently and helps junior analysts deliver, provide technical/non - technical guidance as required - Automation of BAU, develop self-service solutions and deliver business value, set-up best in class in-house support - Effectively communicate strategic considerations with team, partners and senior management - Share best practices across SIS groups and implement best practices, drive data and analytics solutions - Presentation of results to business partners and COE senior management - Relationship Management: Interact regularly with Partner leadership to set and manage expectations aligned to group capabilities and work to deepen existing relationships Technical : - Established competency in the following : - 10 years of relevant work experience with extensive knowledge of MIS Data Management principles and Information Systems development, with particular emphasis in the use of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Architectures - Career must evidence the following experiences - Program managing MIS/Report development, Data management activities - Previous experience in similar roles - Handling large volume of data, Advanced SAS is must - Hands-On knowledge on the following technologies - SAS, UNIX, COGNOS, Tableau/Microstrategy, VBA, Automation etc. Business : - Good exposure to Financial Services businesses - Possess and apply sound decision-making disciplines - Good project management skills and leadership potential - Excellent influencing skills and People Orientation - Strong English language presentation and communication skills - Be able to engage with staff up to the most senior levels within an organization, and to communicate complex technology in a business centric way Skills : - Highly motivated, able to work independently, self-starter; and enjoys problem solving - Detail-oriented and...
