Position Overview:
Reports directly to the Sr. GA Supervisor and interfaces with counterparts in other service locations, project offices, and controller management.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will compile and assess financial information to prepare General Ledger transactions, statutory financial statements/reports, and tax compliance schedules/reports. You will reconcile general ledger balances and examine recording and reporting documents. You will help in identifying process improvement opportunities and developing new solutions and process documentation. You will scrutinize, initiate, and complete corrective actions to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and compliance.
Major Responsibilities:

Prepares and records General Ledger transactions and provides help to month end and year end Journal Ledger closing procedure.

Prepares routine and some moderately complex summary reports and/or financial statements.
:
Prepares standard financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, monthly closing reports) according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or other regulatory requirements.

Reconciles all general ledger balances for assigned balancing segments and ensures that monthly, assisting schedules are prepared in a timely manner and are reviewed for compliance with established procedures.

Initiates and completes corrective action to ensure that outstanding items in account reconciliations are cleared promptly.

Prepares standard compliance reports and schedules (VAT, GST, WHT etc.) promptly to ensure payment and filing deadlines are met.

Scrutinizes ledger transactions to ensure accuracy of tax compliance reports and schedules.

Examines a variety of recording and reporting documents and summaries to verify accuracy and conformance with specific functional, commercial, contract, government, or professional accounting requirements.

Complies, researches, and examines financial information to prepare entries into accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and documents business transactions.
