Job Description
Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose various ophthalmic conditions. Assist in and independently conduct surgical procedures like cataract and glaucoma surgeries. Supervise and train junior residents and interns in clinical and surgical practices. Manage outpatient, inpatient, and emergency ophthalmic cases. Participate in academic activities, including teaching and conducting seminars for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Engage in clinical research and contribute to publications in peer-reviewed journals. Ensure proper documentation of patient records and maintain departmental protocols. Provide compassionate patient care, including counseling and postoperative follow-ups.Diagnose and treat various ophthalmic conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, retinal diseases, and infections.Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and interpret diagnostic tests (OCT, fundus photography, visual field tests).Perform and assist in minor surgical procedures like chalazion excision, pterygium excision, and laser treatments.Manage emergency ophthalmic cases in the hospital, including trauma and sudden vision loss.Manage OPD (Outpatient Department) consultations for routine and follow-up cases.Coordinate pre-operative and post-operative patient care.Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
