Cleaning Staff - Restaurant

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Cleaning Duties:

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum restaurant floors in dining, kitchen, and entrance areas.
• Clean and sanitize all tables, chairs, countertops, and other surfaces regularly.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly following hygiene and waste management policies.
• Dust and clean fixtures, ceiling fans, and decorative items to maintain a neat appearance.

2. Kitchen and Back-of-House Cleaning:

• Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and cooking surfaces under the guidance of the kitchen staff.
• Sanitize food preparation areas and ensure they are ready for the next shift.
• Clean and mop the kitchen floor frequently to avoid spills and accidents.
• Wash and store dishes when needed or as assigned.

3. Restroom Maintenance:

• Clean and disinfect restrooms multiple times a day, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
• Replenish toiletries such as toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and air fresheners.
• Report any plumbing or maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.

4. Opening/Closing Duties:

• Support the opening team by ensuring the restaurant is clean and ready before business hours.
• Help with end-of-day cleaning routines to prepare the space for the next working day or night shift.

5. Health & Safety Compliance:

• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines as per restaurant policies and local health regulations.
• Wear appropriate uniform and protective equipment (e.g., gloves, aprons, non-slip shoes).
• Immediately report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to management.

6. Inventory and Supplies:

• Keep track of cleaning supplies and notify the manager when restocking is needed.
• Ensure proper storage and use of cleaning chemicals according to safety standards.
