Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Fashion Merchandiser Intern to join our team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for a fresher who is passionate about fashion and eager to understand the inner workings of the fashion merchandising and retail industry. As a Fashion Merchandiser Intern, you will assist the merchandising team in coordinating collections, analyzing trends, tracking inventory, and supporting communication between design, production, and sales teams. This role provides a great learning environment where the intern can develop their understanding of fashion cycles, product development, sourcing, buying, and retail strategies while gaining hands-on experience in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assisting in Merchandising Operations

• Support the merchandising team in daily operations including product planning, allocation, and sample coordination.
• Help in organizing product samples and maintaining product archives.
• Assist in ensuring smooth communication between design, production, and sales departments.

2. Market Research & Trend Analysis

• Research ongoing fashion trends, fabrics, color stories, silhouettes, and consumer preferences.
• Assist in competitor analysis and benchmarking by collecting information on pricing, design trends, and retail display strategies.
• Monitor fashion blogs, runway reports, and social media for trend inspiration.

3. Inventory and Product Management

• Help in tracking inventory levels, managing stock sheets, and preparing replenishment reports.
• Assist in maintaining records of styles, SKUs, sizes, and quantities.
• Support the allocation of products to stores and online platforms.

4. Visual Merchandising and Presentation

• Assist in preparing mood boards, lookbooks, and visual merchandising displays.
• Help in creating product presentation guides and display setups for store layouts or photoshoots.
• Organize internal sample presentations for the team or buyers.

5. Coordination and Follow-ups

• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, or buyers regarding product deliveries, sample requests, or updates.
• Assist in follow-ups with internal departments to ensure timelines are met for product launches and campaigns.

6. Data Entry and Reporting

• Maintain and update product data, pricing sheets, vendor lists, and order logs.
• Generate basic reports related to sales, inventory, and supplier performance.
• Assist in documentation for purchase orders, order sheets, and style trackers.
