Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Project In-charge to oversee and execute waste management projects such as landfill remediation and solid waste processing. The candidate will manage day-to-day site activities, coordinate with stakeholders, ensure timely completion, and maintain quality and compliance standards.
Requirements:
1. Degree/Diploma in Civil/Environmental/Mechanical Engineering.
2. Fresher to Up-to 8 years of project/site experience.
3. Willing to travel and relocate as per project needs.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Manage on-site execution of waste management projects.
2. Coordinate with clients, vendors, and contractors.
3. Monitor project progress, budgets, and site manpower.
4. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental norms.
5. Maintain documentation and reporting for each project.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Execution & Supervision
- Oversee the implementation of solid waste management projects such as landfill remediation, composting units, MRFs (Material Recovery Facilities), or waste-to-energy plants.
- Monitor daily on-site activities including excavation, segregation, leachate treatment, capping, and waste processing operations.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure proper deployment of manpower, materials, and machinery.
2. Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with government bodies, environmental consultants, third-party labs, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure timely submission of reports, documentation, and data to regulatory agencies and internal management.
- Attend review meetings and site inspections with clients and statutory bodies as required.
3. Quality & Compliance Monitoring
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, environmental norms, safety protocols, and legal requirements (CPCB/SPCB guidelines, SWM Rules, etc.).
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality control and site safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, test results, waste volumes, and incident logs.
4. Resource & Inventory Management
- Monitor and manage usage of materials such as geotextiles, liners, construction materials, and chemicals.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of required equipment, spare parts, and consumables.
- Optimize utilization of equipment like compactors, excavators, trommels, conveyors, etc.
5. Project Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Track timelines, resource deployment, cost deviations, and potential risks.
- Support senior project managers in planning schedules and preparing completion reports.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Experience: 0 8 years of experience in project execution, preferably in solid waste management, landfill remediation, or environmental infrastructure projects
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of waste management processes, landfill engineering, and environmental regulations
- Project management and team coordination skills
- Familiarity with construction practices, safety standards, and quality control
