Executive - Search Engine Optimization (2-4 Yrs) Bangalore (Online/Digital Marketing)

We are looking for a passionate and experienced SEO & Growth Specialist with a strong background in tech publishing to drive organic visibility, traffic, and engagement across Google Search and Google Discover. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in high-traffic content environments and will collaborate closely with product, content, and engineering teams to build a scalable, SEO-first content strategy and growth roadmap.Key Responsibilities:SEO & Discover Optimization- Lead Technical SEO audits, implementation, and monitoring (indexing, crawling, Core Web Vitals, structured data, canonicalization, etc.)- Develop and execute strategies for Google Discover visibility - including entity optimization, freshness, E-E-A-T, and topical authority- Conduct regular keyword and trend research for news, reviews, comparisons, and evergreen stories- Optimize content templates (news, listicles, comparisons, specs pages, etc.) for user intent and search discoverabilityIntent & UX Optimization:- Map and optimize content to align with search intent and buyer/user journeys- Use tools like Search Console, GA4, and third-party platforms (As, SEMrush, etc.) to identify traffic gaps, thin content, and cannibalization- Collaborate with editorial/product teams to improve on-page UX (internal linking, reading experience, scroll depth, etc.)Cross-functional & Strategic Work:- Partner with tech teams to implement and QA structured data, SEO tags, and performance improvements- Build dashboards and reports to track growth KPIs (CTR, Discover impressions, ranking deltas)- Stay updated with the latest Google algorithm changes (core, helpful content, spam, etc.) and adapt strategy accordingly- Contribute to site architecture improvements (URL structure, taxonomy, content hubs, etc.)Required Skills & Experience:- 2- 4 years of SEO and growth experience, preferably in tech media or digital publishing- Proven experience handling large-scale content websites with dynamic templates- Deep understanding of Google Search algorithms and Discover ranking factors- Hands-on with tools: Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, As, SEMrush, etc.- Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress and basic HTML/CSS/JS debugging- Understanding of Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile-first indexing- Basic understanding of UX principles and how content layout impacts engagement and rankings (ref:updazz.com)
