Team Leader : Global Compliance

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance professional to join our global compliance team in our Global Advancement Centre ( "GAC ") in Bengaluru, India. This role will report directly to the Director, Global Compliance (located in Ontario, Canada) and will play a critical role in ensuring our organization maintains the highest standards of compliance with international laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role requires in:office attendance 5 days per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance management, global regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation methodologies.
Education and Experience
Education :
A post:secondary degree or diploma in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A relevant certification as a compliance professional (e.g., CCEP, CIPP, CRCM) is preferred.
Experience:
:
7:15 years of experience leading a compliance function in a global organization, with a post:secondary degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; relevant compliance certifications (CCEP, CIPP, CRCM) preferred.

Strong expertise in global compliance frameworks and regulations including FCPA, GDPR, SOX, ESG, CSRD, Modern Slavery legislation, AI laws, CBAM, and EU:CRA.

Proven experience in conducting compliance risk assessments, implementing mitigation methodologies, and applying regulatory and industry best practices.

High:integrity professional with strong analytical, communication, decision:making, and organizational skills, experienced in managing compliance technology tools and adapting to changing priorities.
Responsibilities
:
Support development, implementation, and maintenance of the global compliance program across International Trade, Data Protection, Sustainability, Ethics, and Code of Conduct.
:
Maintain a centralized tracker for global compliance requirements, regulatory changes, effective dates, and entity:level compliance timelines.
:
Manage the global policy review schedule and coordinate timely updates with policy owners.
:
Monitor global regulatory developments and assess business impact.
:
Support creation of compliance training materials and best:practice libraries.
:
Collaborate with Legal, HR, IT, and Operations on data mapping and follow:up actions.
:
Deliver consolidated analytics, dashboards, and reporting for KCIs and KRIs.
:
Oversee equipment and spares classification and support compliance specialists.
:
Drive digital transformation of compliance activities through technology enablement.
:
Support business compliance requirements including NIS2, EU Data Act, AI laws, GDPR, and CRA.

Assist the Director, Global Compliance in building and providing onsite leadership to the GAC compliance team.
