The role involves identifying business opportunities, advising clients on appropriate insurance coverage, negotiating with insurers, and ensuring long-term client relationships.Key Responsibilities : Business Development & Sales :- Identify and develop new corporate clients across industries such as manufacturing, IT, logistics, healthcare, and infrastructure.- Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, and market research.- Achieve assigned revenue, premium, and client acquisition targets.- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to corporate decision-makers (CFOs, Risk Managers, HR Heads).Client Relationship Management :- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client business risks and insurance requirements.- Maintain strong relationships with existing corporate clients to ensure renewals and cross-selling opportunities.- Conduct regular client meetings and policy reviews.Insurance Placement & Advisory :- Analyze client risk profiles and recommend appropriate insurance solutions such as: - Fire Insurance - Property & Engineering Insurance - Liability Insurance - Marine Insurance - Group Health & Employee Benefits- Coordinate with internal teams and insurers to place policies on competitive terms.- Support negotiations on premiums, coverage terms, deductibles, and claims handling arrangements.Renewals & Cross-Selling- Manage policy renewals by ensuring timely documentation and premium collection.- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional insurance products.Market & Insurer Coordination- Build and maintain relationships with insurance companies and underwriters.- Stay updated on market trends, new insurance products, and regulatory changes.Compliance & Documentation- Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations and internal company policies.- Maintain accurate sales records, client documentation, and MIS reports.Key Skills & Competencies- Strong corporate sales and negotiation skills- Sound knowledge of general insurance products and broking practices- Excellent communication and presentation abilities- Client-focused and solution-oriented approach- Ability to work independently and meet targets- Relationship management and networking skillsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)- Premium and revenue targets achieved- Number of new corporate clients acquired- Renewal retention ratio- Cross-sell and upsell contribution- Client satisfaction and relationship strengthMandatory Requirements- Looking for Local candidates only.- Need candidate from Insurance broking companies or from corporate banking who is handling Corporate salary accounts only.- 4 to 10 years of experience in corporate insurance sales, insurance broking, or general insurance- Proven track record in acquiring and managing corporate clients- Hands-on experience in generating leads and closing corporate insurance deals- Strong expertise in general insurance products (Fire, Property, Liability, Marine, Engineering, Group Health, etc.)- Direct experience in advising corporate clients on risk management and insurance solutions- Ability to prepare and present proposals to senior stakeholders (CFOs, Risk Managers, HR Heads)- Experience in negotiating premiums, coverage terms, and policy conditions with insurers- Proven capability to achieve assigned revenue, premium, and acquisition targets- Strong experience in managing policy renewals and premium collections- Demonstrated ability in cross-selling and upselling insurance products- Experience in coordinating with insurers and internal teams for policy placement- Sound knowledge of IRDAI regulations and insurance compliance requirements- Excellent communication, presentation, an...
