SAP AI Product Engineering is part of the SAP Business AI unit and a key driver of the Intelligent Enterprise. Our mission is to infuse all enterprise applications with Artificial Intelligence capabilities, empowering our customers to maximize their business data.
We are responsible for foundational products such as SAP Generative AI Hub, AI Core, and AI Launchpad that help application developers embed AI capabilities into their solutions. Our global teams are located in Germany, Singapore, and India, working in an innovative, start:up:like environment where ideas are nurtured and cutting:edge solutions are built.
What You 'll Do
As a Senior Platform Engineer in the AI Core team, you will have the unique opportunity to work on emerging technologies at the intersection of Cloud, DevOps, AI, and Full Stack development. In a dynamic and collaborative environment, you will:
Explore, understand, and implement the latest technologies and approaches for SAP Generative AI Hub and AI Core.
Build secure, scalable, and resilient applications and services within a microservices:based architecture using Python, Go or JAVA
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring solutions, and developer productivity tools.
Collaborate with global teams across time zones using scrum and agile development methodologies.
Use Kubernetes as a stack to deploy applications.
Develop both backend services and frontend components, ensuring a seamless end:to:end developer experience.
Perform quality assurance tasks, resolve complex integration issues, and continuously improve system scalability and performance.
Contribute to release:level activities, DevOps tooling improvements, and central CI/CD initiatives.
Quickly ramp up on SAP ecosystem, BTP (Business Technology Platform)
What You Bring
Bachelor 's or Master 's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 8:12years of hands:on experience in professional software development and full:stack engineering.
Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, object:oriented programming, design patterns, and software design principles.
Proficiency in one or more programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript and Go with the ability to design and implement scalable backend services.
Mastery of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including CI/CD pipelines.
Solid understanding of cloud:native development and hands:on exposure to platforms and technologies such as Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker, and public cloud providers including AWS, Azure, or GCP
Solid knowledge of SCM tools (e.g., Git/GitHub).
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code
Strong understanding of modern API design, microservices communication patterns, and software engineering best practices including code reviews, automated testing, version control, and secure development.
Ability to design robust System Architecture and Design that are scalable and efficient, often acting as a software architect to align technical solutions
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for distributed systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a collaborative, proactive, and enthusiastic mindset and a strong passion for coding and problem:solving.
