Production Manager Promote Production Achievement Job Description The total success of the manufacturing facility's output is the responsibility of the Production Manager, a strategic leader. Your main responsibility is to supervise all manufacturing processes to guarantee that goods are produced effectively, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will oversee a sizable workforce, collaborate with cross-functional divisions (maintenance, quality, and supply chain), and promote continuous improvement using lean techniques. The ideal applicant is a high-level decision-maker who can achieve ambitious yearly production goals by striking a balance between technical manufacturing ability and outstanding people management abilities. Responsibilities Strategic Production Planning: Create and manage long-term production plans and resource distribution to satisfy customer demand and corporate sales goals. Operational Excellence: To reduce waste and maximize the Value Stream, spearhead the application of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen projects. Budget & Cost Control: To increase the department's profit and loss (P&L), keep an eye on labor, material, and overhead costs. Performance Monitoring: Examine and document high-level KPIs like yield, unit cost of production, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Workforce Leadership: Ensure a high-performance culture and low turnover by leading, developing, and mentoring a diverse team of engineers, supervisors, and operators. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Uphold a "Zero Accident" working culture by enforcing rigorous adherence to safety procedures and environmental laws. Skills: Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated capacity to oversee sizable groups and sway stakeholders throughout the company. Proficiency in JIT, TPM, 5S, and Kanban systems is a prerequisite for Lean Mastery. Financial acumen is the ability to comprehend financial statements and manage industrial budgets.
