Director - Business Development/Commercial - Paint (10-14 Yrs) Cochin/Kochi (B2C/Retail/Channel Sales)

Responsibilities:- Lead the entire factory operation, ensuring efficiency across production, quality, maintenance, purchasing, logistics, and manpower planning.- Develop and implement strategic business plans aligned with corporate goals to drive growth and profitability.- Oversee daily operations in line with compliance, safety, and sustainability standards.- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue and market share.- Analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitor performance to inform strategic decisions.- Build and maintain key relationships with clients, distributors, and regulatory stakeholders.- Prepare and present detailed performance reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually) to senior leadership.- Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, environmental, labor, and industry- specific regulations.- Monitor and control the factory s overall P&L performance, budgeting, and forecasting.- Foster a performance-driven, learning-focused, and ethical corporate culture.- Coordinate corporate strategies and policies at the factory level to ensure alignment.- Support audits, inspections, and implement corrective actions when necessary.Qualifications:- Bachelor s degree in chemical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields; MBA or post-graduate degree preferred.- 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the paints or chemical industry.Required Skills:- In-depth knowledge of production technologies, raw materials, and supply chain in the paint/chemical sector.- Demonstrated success in business growth, cost control, and cross-functional leadership.- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.- High proficiency in operational planning, financial acumen, and regulatory compliance.
