Based on your experience, we felt this opportunity might be relevant for you.Below are the details for your review:Position Overview:- Role : Content Acquisition Manager- Industry : Media & Entertainment (OTT & Streaming)- Function : Operations / Content- Experience : 5-8 years- CTC : - 12-15 LPA- Location : Noida- Work Mode: Onsite- Working Days: 5 days/week- Education: Graduation (MBA preferred, not mandatory)About the Role:This is a strategic role responsible for building and scaling a regional content library by acquiring existing movies, web series, short films, TV content, and related assets from dialect-focused markets.The position involves end-to-end content acquisition, including content scouting, valuation, licensing negotiations, contracting, renewals, and long-term relationship management with regional producers and distributors. The role also plays a key part in supporting new market launches and catalog expansion.Key Responsibilities :Content Sourcing & Market Mapping :- Identify and evaluate content libraries across regional dialects (films, web series, TV shows, short films, music).- Analyze catalog gaps by genre, format, and language using audience demand data.- Build and maintain a database of producers, distributors, aggregators, and content owners.- Track upcoming theatrical releases and in-production content.- Monitor competitor acquisitions and market pricing.Deal Negotiation & Licensing :- Negotiate digital streaming rights (territory, duration, exclusivity, windows, holdbacks).- Structure deals such as Minimum Guarantee (MG), Revenue Share, Hybrid, and - Outright Purchase.- Coordinate with legal teams for contracts and rights clearance.- Manage license renewals for high-performing content.Relationship Management :- Build long-term partnerships with regional producers, studios, distributors, and aggregators.- Represent the platform at film festivals, regional markets, and industry events.Financial & Data Analysis :- Conduct content valuation based on performance, cast, genre, recency, and market buzz.- Manage acquisition budgets and track ROI.- Monitor performance metrics such as cost per hour, cost per view, and subscriber impact.Cross-Functional Coordination :- Work closely with marketing, tech/operations, legal, and finance teams for seamless content launches and operations.Mandatory Requirements :- 5 years of experience in content acquisition, licensing, or distribution- Experience with an OTT platform, TV network, film distributor, or production house- Proven track record of closing complex licensing deals (exclusive, non-exclusive, MG, revenue share)- Hands-on experience across the full acquisition lifecycle- Strong expertise in at least two regional film industries:- Haryanvi, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, or Marathi- Experience negotiating digital streaming rights- Budget management and ROI analysis experience- Fluent in Hindi & English, plus at least one target dialect- Willingness to travel extensively for regional markets and industry events- Ability to ensure rights clarity, dialect authenticity, cultural fit, and HD-quality content- Dialect & Content Focus- Immediate Priority : Haryanvi, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri- Launch Focus : Gujarati- Future Markets : Marathi, Awadhi, MaithiliContent Types :- Feature Films (High Priority)- Web Series, Short Films, TV Shows (Medium Priority)- Music & Folk Content (Low Priority) (ref:updazz.com)
