Area Sales Manager - BFSI (3-4 Yrs) Punjab/Bathinda (BFSI Sales)

Hiring for Area Manager in a leading Bank.Location-BathindaThe Area Manager will be responsible for driving sales and business growth of Small Enterprise Loan (SEL) (unsecured Business loans/PL) products across the assigned region. The role involves managing a team of Relationship Managers/Branch Managers, ensuring portfolio quality, achieving targets, and building strong customer relationships.Key Responsibilities:Business Development & Sales:- Drive acquisition of new SEL customers through branches and direct sourcing channels.- Achieve disbursement, revenue, and profitability targets for the assigned area.- Identify local business opportunities and design area-specific strategies.Team Management:- Lead, motivate, and guide a team of Relationship Managers / Branch Managers.- Monitor performance, provide regular training and handholding to improve productivity.- Ensure adherence to processes and compliance across all team members.Portfolio & Risk Management:- Maintain portfolio health by ensuring high credit quality and low delinquency.- Work closely with credit and risk teams for underwriting support.- Monitor Early Warning Signals (EWS) and implement corrective actions.Customer Relationship & Market Intelligence:- Build and maintain strong relationships with local customers, trade bodies, and associations.- Gather market intelligence, competitor insights, and customer feedback to enhance product positioning.Operations & Compliance:- Ensure all regulatory and internal compliance requirements are met.- Drive process efficiency and timely resolution of customer queries/complaints.Key Requirements:- Graduate / Post Graduate (preferably MBA or equivalent).- 6-10 years of relevant banking experience in SME/SEL/Business Loans/LAP.- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing teams.- Strong knowledge of credit underwriting, risk management, and banking regulations.- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
