Regional Business Head - (D2C Solar / Energy)Location: Western Odisha (Balangir / Sambalpur / Jharsuguda)Experience: 8-12 YearsRole Overview- We are hiring a State/Regional Business Leader to drive and scale Direct-to-Customer (D2C) solar inverter operations across Odisha. The role involves branch-level business ownership, revenue growth, and execution of large-scale customer acquisition and installation operations under government subsidy programs.- This position is a balanced mix of individual contribution and team leadership.Key Responsibilities :- Lead and scale D2C solar inverter business across Western Odisha- Own branch-level revenue, P&L, profitability and market expansion- Manage Area Managers, field sales teams and field agents- Drive the entire customer lifecycle: lead generation - conversion - installation - after-sales support- Develop local go-to-market strategy and improve customer acquisition funnel- Execute and manage operations under PM Surya Ghar Yojana- Build relationships with DISCOMs, local authorities and partners- Ensure operational excellence, compliance and installation quality- Improve market share and brand visibility in assigned districtsMandatory Requirements- 8 years in business development / sales leadership- Minimum 2 years D2C sales experience (must)- Experience managing multi-branch or district-level operations- Ownership of revenue, P&L and market expansion- Understanding of PM Surya Ghar Yojana, subsidy process & DISCOM regulations- Fluent in Odiya (mandatory)- Comfortable working from Balangir / Sambalpur / Jharsuguda / Western Odisha- Experience in D2C product companies (Not EPC/project-only/channel-only roles)Preferred- Solar rooftop / inverter ecosystem exposure- Experience handling installation lifecycle and conversion funnel- Team handling (Area Managers / field sales / agents)- Prior experience in Odisha solar market- Engineering background preferred (MBA is a plus) (ref:updazz.com)
