Job Description
Role Overview FirstHive is seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Pre Sales Consultant to join our growing team. As a Pre Sales Consultant, you will serve as the crucial bridge between our sales organization and prospective clients, translating complex business requirements into compelling solution demonstrations of our Customer Data Platform. You will beresponsible for understanding prospect needs, crafting contextual demonstrations, and showcasing how FirstHive s CDP capabilities can drive business value and ROI for enterprise clients.Key Responsibilities Client Engagement & Discovery: - Conduct in-depth discovery sessions with prospects to understand their business objectives, challenges, and technical requirements - Map prospect requirements to FirstHive CDP capabilities and identify potential use cases that demonstrate clear business value - Collaborate with sales teams to qualify opportunities and develop strategic approach for technical engagements - Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including CMOs, CDOs, IT leaders, and data teams Solution Design & Demonstration - Prepare and deliver compelling, contextual product demonstrations tailored to specific prospect requirements and industry verticals - Design customized solution architectures that showcase FirstHive CDP s integration capabilities, data unification features, and analytics strengths - Showcase platform capabilities including identity resolution, customer 360 views, segmentation, activation, and analytics - Conduct proof of concept (POC) exercises and pilot programs to demonstrate tangible business outcomes Presentation & Pitch Development - Create comprehensive solution decks and presentations that articulate value propositions aligned to prospect pain points - Deliver executive-level presentations and technical deep-dives to audiences ranging from C-suite to technical teams - Develop industry-specific collateral and use case libraries that can be leveraged across multiple engagements RFP & Proposal Management - Lead technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with prospect requirements - Collaborate with product, engineering, and professional services teams to validate solution feasibility and implementation approach - Contribute to competitive analysis and positioning to differentiate FirstHive CDP in the marketplace Pricing & Commercial Support - Prepare detailed pricing proposals and commercial structures based on prospect requirements and deployment models - Work with sales leadership to structure deals that maximize value for both the client and FirstHive - Articulate total cost of ownership (TCO) and return on investment (ROI) to support business case development Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with product management to provide market feedback and influence product roadmap based on prospect requirements - Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure smooth handoff from sales to delivery - Contribute to the development of pre-sales best practices, methodologies, and enablement materialsRequired Qualifications - Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field - 5 years of experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical sales roles within B2B SaaS or enterprise software- Strong understanding of Customer Data Platforms, marketing technology, or customer experience platforms - Experience with data integration concepts, APIs, identity resolution, and customer data management - Demonstrated ability to conduct product demonstrations and deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences- Proven track record of supporting complex enterprise sales cycles from discovery through close - Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Preferred Qualifications - MBA or advanced technical degree - Previous experience with CDP platforms such as Segment, Tealium, Adobe Real-Time CDP, Treasure Data, or Marketing Automation platforms like Clevertap, Resulticks, WebEngage, moEngage, or similar- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and compliance frameworks - Experience in retail, e-commerce, financial services, or other data-intensive industries - Familiarity with SQL, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools - Certifications in relevant technologies (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, Salesforce, etc.) - Experience working in a high-growth startup environment Key Skills & Competencies Technical Skills: - Deep understanding of customer data architecture, data modeling, and data governance - Knowledge of API integrations, webhooks, and modern data stack components - Proficiency in data visualization and analytics platforms Business Skills: - Consultative selling approach with...
