Location: Surat (Gujarat), IndiaJob Type: Full-Time, OnsiteExperience Level: 4 yearsSalary range: CTC - 6 LPA to - 8 LPA (based on experience and capability) (Full ownership role)About the Role:Gemgem is looking for a highly strategic and execution-driven SEO Executive who will own and scale the complete organic growth engine of the business.The selected candidate will independently manage and execute end-to-end SEO across On-Page, Off-Page, Technical SEO, Content Strategy, Marketplace SEO architecture, and Digital Authority building.The ideal candidate must have 4 years of deep hands-on SEO experience and a proven track record of driving measurable organic traffic and revenue growth. This role demands complete ownership, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to build scalable SEO systems from the ground up.Key Responsibilities1. Organic Growth Strategy and Roadmap- Develop a comprehensive SEO roadmap aligned with Gemgem s marketplace growth goals.- Conduct deep keyword research focused on transactional, commercial, and informational intent.- Build quarterly and monthly execution plans with measurable KPIs.- Perform competitor intelligence analysis to identify ranking gaps and growth opportunities.- Forecast organic traffic and revenue growth based on SEO initiatives.2. Marketplace and E-Commerce SEO Management- Optimise category, product, and dynamic listing pages for a large-scale marketplace structure.- Handle faceted navigation, canonicalisation, filtered URLs, and pagination challenges.- Prevent duplicate content issues in dynamic product environments.- Implement structured data, including product schema, review schema, pricing, and availability.- Optimise crawl budget and indexing strategy for scalable growth.3. Advanced On-Page and Content Strategy- Build topical authority using content clusters and pillar page strategies.- Design content silos and internal linking architecture.- Create SEO-optimised blog content targeting high-intent keywords.- Conduct content gap analysis and competitor benchmarking.- Refresh and optimise existing content to improve rankings and CTR.- Align content with different funnel stages, including awareness, consideration, and conversion.4. Technical SEO Leadership- Conduct full-scale technical audits and ensure implementation of fixes.- Improve Core Web Vitals, site speed, mobile responsiveness, and structured data implementation.- Manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical tags, lang if applicable, and indexation control.- Analyse crawl data using tools like Screaming Frog and similar platforms.- Understand JavaScript SEO challenges and coordinate with developers for implementation.- Monitor and resolve indexing, crawl errors, and technical SEO bottlenecks.5. Off-Page SEO and Authority Building- Develop a white-hat backlink acquisition strategy focused on high-authority domains.- Execute guest posting, outreach, digital PR, and partnership-based link-building campaigns.- Monitor backlink health and remove toxic links when necessary.- Implement brand mention reclamation and digital PR campaigns.- Strengthen domain authority through strategic initiatives that build authority.6. Algorithm Monitoring and Recovery- Monitor search engine algorithm updates and assess the impact on rankings.- Implement E-E-A-T optimisation strategies to strengthen trust signals.- Diagnose ranking drops and execute recovery strategies.- Continuously refine SEO strategy based on industry updates and search trends.7. Conversion-Focused SEO- Optimise organic landing pages to improve conversion rates.- Improve SERP CTR through advanced title and meta optimisation.- Track assisted conversions and organic revenue contribution.- Align organic insights with paid media campaigns to maximise overall marketing ROI.8. Reporting, Analytics and Tools- Track and analyse performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms such as As or SEMrush.- Monitor metrics including organic traffic, impressions, CTR, rankings, engagement, and revenue contribution.- Prepare weekly and monthly reports with actionable insights.- Define SEO success metrics and growth projections.9. Process Ownership and Documentation- Create SEO SOPs and documentation for scalable growth.- Establish repeatable systems for content publishing, optimisation, and link building.- Build a long-term SEO scalability framework.- Act as the single point of ownership for all SEO activities within the organisation.Required Skills and Experience:- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience managing complete SEO functions independently.- Proven track record of driving organic traffic growth and improving keyword rankings.- Deep expertise in On-Page, Off-Page, Technical SEO, and marketplace SEO structures.- Strong experience in content clustering, topical authority building, and internal linking strategy.- Practical experienc...
