Role: Retail Operations ManagerLocation: Sector-56 Gurgaon / Pan-India (Travel Required)Working Mode: WFO, (5.5 Days with Alternate Saturdays Off)Experience: 6 YearsRole Overview:The Retail Operations Manager will lead day-to-day retail operations across multiple stores, drive revenue targets, deliver exceptional customer experience, and ensure all stores follow our brand standards. This role demands agility, strong leadership, and the ability to manage high-growth retail environments.Key Responsibilities:1. Store Performance & Sales Growth- Drive sales and productivity KPIs across stores (ATV, UPT, conversion, sell-through).- Analyse store performance and implement action plans for revenue improvement.- Work with merchandising for optimal assortment planning and stock replenishment.2. Operational Excellence- Ensure adherence to SOPs across all stores-VM, hygiene, stock handling, and service standards.- Conduct regular store audits and ensure timely gap closures.- Improve operational efficiency across daily store processes.3. Team Leadership & People Development- Lead, mentor, and motivate store teams; ensure high team morale and service orientation.- Oversee manpower planning, hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.- Work with HR/L&D to build training modules for product, service, and store processes.4. Customer Experience & Brand Standards- Maintain premium customer experience aligned with our brand voice.- Resolve escalations and implement processes that reduce repeat issues.- Collaborate with VM team for flawless execution of campaign guidelines.5. Inventory & Stock Control- Monitor stock accuracy, replenishment, RTV, shrinkage, and damage control.- Coordinate with warehouse and merchandising teams for timely stock flow.- Lead cycle counts, audits, and compliance checks to maintain 100% inventory hygiene.6. New Store Launches- Lead end-to-end execution of new store launches-operations readiness, staff hiring, stock loading, VM, and compliance.- Ensure timely, smooth launch with zero operational gaps.- Provide insights on new market opportunities or store expansion.7. Cross-functional Collaboration- Work with Marketing on in-store activations, influencer events, and LAM strategies.- Partner with Finance on store budgets, P&L, and cost optimization.- Align with Projects team for maintenance, repairs, and store upkeep.8. Reporting & MIS- Share daily, weekly and monthly performance dashboards with leadership.- Highlight business insights, customer patterns, and operational improvements.Ideal Candidate Profile:- 5 years of experience in Retail Operations (fashion, accessories, lifestyle, premium brands preferred).- Strong leadership skills with proven multi-store management experience.- Data-driven, agile, and comfortable working in a high-growth startup environment.- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team-building ability.- Strong understanding of KPIs, stock management, VM, and customer experience.- Ability to travel frequently and manage multiple cities/store clusters.
