VMC Operator Core VMC Machining Support Function Job Description: Our precision machining shop floor's "Milling Execution Driver" and "Component Consistency Authority" are the VMC Operator. Your main task is to manufacture high-precision components in accordance with rigorous engineering design by safely loading, operating, and monitoring pre-set 3-axis or 4-axis Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs). As the "In-Process Quality Guardian," you keep production running smoothly with no structural flaws by managing block material layouts, performing repetitive component loading, using specialized hand-measuring tools, and recording cycle timelines. In order to ensure zero machine collisions and a seamless material workflow, the ideal candidate is a highly disciplined, vigilant manufacturing specialist who combines strong mechanical observation abilities with an unwavering eye for surface finish details. Key Duties: VerticalMilling Production Execution: Start pre-programmed vertical milling cycles by securely loading raw blocks, forgings, or castings into hydraulic vices, VMC fixtures, or specially designed modular clamps. Dimensional Feature Verification: Use precision metrology tools to check that parts meet blueprint specifications by examining crucial machined measurements, such as pocket depths, hole pitches, face flatness, and counterbore diameters. Surface Finish Quality Control: Keep a tight eye on the cutting floor and utilize surface roughness comparators and visual inspections to identify tool marks or scoring from broken inserts or microchipping. Dull ToolingStatus Communication: To prevent scrap, promptly pause cycles and alert the VMC Setter or Tool Room cell if you see unusual machining vibrations, excessive cutting smoke, or screeching chatter sounds. In-Cycle Deburring & Finishing: To maximize station productivity, carry out the required manual deburring, filing, chamfering, and part cleaning operations during active machining run periods.
