Quality Management System (QMS) Assistant Manager with 5 to 7 yrs 2026 Your main goal is to maintain corporate compliance, minimize systemic risks, and ensure that the company s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) accurately reflect daily operations while meeting rigid international standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Audit Management & Ownership Lead Internal Audits: Design, schedule, and execute the annual internal audit program across all departments (Operations, HR, Procurement, Engineering). Host External Audits: Act as the primary liaison or co-host for Registrar/Notified Body audits, customer corporate audits, and regulatory inspections. NC Tracking: Manage the lifecycle of Non-Conformances (NCs) found during audits, ensuring departmental owners complete root-cause analyses timely. 2. Document Control System (DCS) Governance Architecture: Oversee the creation, revision, and obsolescence of Tier 1 (Quality Manual), Tier 2 (Procedures), Tier 3 (Work Instructions), and Tier 4 (Forms/Records) documentation. Digitization: Frequently responsible for managing or implementing Electronic QMS (eQMS) software like MasterControl, TrackWise, or ETQ Reliance. 3. Systemic CAPA & Continual Improvement Systemic Oversight: Unlike a product CAPA (which fixes a broken tool), you look at process CAPAs. If multiple departments miss calibration deadlines, you fix the calibration tracking system itself. Management Review: Aggregate quality data, audit trends, and CAPA metrics to prepare the quarterly or annual Management Review presentation for executive leadership. 4. Industry-Specific Compliance Ownership Depending on the sector of your facility, you are expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one of these frameworks: Automotive (IATF 16949): Deep alignment with the AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) and customer-specific requirements. Medical Devices (ISO 13485 / FDA 21 CFR Part 820): Ensuring strict compliance with design controls, risk management (ISO 14971), validation protocols, and data integrity. Aerospace (AS9100) or General (ISO 9001): Managing configuration control, counterfeit part prevention, and risk-based thinking.
