Your main responsibility is to oversee, stabilize, and maximize the continuous performance of all plant utility systems that provide our high-tonnage molding machines with essential assistance. As the "Zero-Downtime Infrastructure Lead," you assume direct, hands-on responsibility for air handling units (AHUs), cooling towers, centralized air compressors, electrical substations, high-capacity industrial chillers, and polymer material feeding systems. Managing high-stakes operational risks such as cooling-water temperature changes (which lead to part warp and cycle-time spikes), compressed air moisture contamination, abrupt voltage reductions, and utility-driven line stoppages is the core of this function. Key Skills: Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics Literacy: Full practical understanding of hydraulic pumping loops, psychrometric monitoring, pneumatic fluid dynamics, and industrial refrigeration cycles (Vapor Compression). Electrical Automation & PLC Diagnosis: Excellent ability to decipher intricate electrical schematics, work with automated building management systems (BMS), and diagnose problems with PLCs and VFD controllers. Advanced Root-Cause Diagnostic Engineering: Outstanding ability to identify electrical harmonics problems, thermal obstructions, compressed air pressure dips, and micro-leaks within an operational industrial plant. Industrial Metrology & Precision Tools: To perform predictive engineering assessments, a thorough understanding of vibration analyzers, thermal imaging cameras, sound-level meters, and ultrasonic flowmeters.
