Managing, verifying, and methodically optimizing line-side product quality is your main goal in order to guarantee that no faulty parts leave the shop floor and reach our clients. As the "High-Level Metrology and Defect Diagnosis Expert," you assume direct, hands-on responsibility for Root-Cause Analyses on complex polymer processing faults, Statistical Process Control (SPC), customer-facing quality engineering metrics, and new tool development validation (PPAP/APQP). By reducing serious operational risks like significant customer line-stoppage penalties, customer product returns (PPM spikes), field warranty claims, and high internal scrap costs, this position is the plant's first line of defense. Key Skills: Advanced operational command over standard manufacturing core tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA (AIAG-VDA standard layouts), SPC, and MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis), is known as Elite Core Quality Tools Command. Molding Defect Metallurgy & Processing Intuition: Outstanding ability to directly link injection pressure, velocity, or cooling temperature factors to part dimensions or visual defects (such as warp, sink marks, flash, weld lines, silver streaks, and jetting). Advanced Blueprint Literacy & GD&T: Proficiency in interpreting intricate engineering blueprints and a thorough comprehension of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) tolerance zones at the micron level. Statistical Software Fluency: The ability to compute normal distributions, conduct ANOVA tests, and monitor control charts using statistical computing programs (such as Minitab or sophisticated Excel data analysis suites).
