Your main responsibility is to safely load, set up, operate, monitor, and maintain Vertical Machining Centers VMCs in order to produce precision components, while Machine Shop Managers, Tool Room Engineers, CNC/VMC Programmers, and Production Planning Leads set overall production targets, cycle times, component tolerances, and job dispatch schedules. Key Skills: VMC Machine Operation & Vertical Machining Mastery: Practical experience using 3-axis and 4-axis Vertical Machining Centers. Advanced proficiency in reading mechanical engineering drawings, comprehending GD&T symbols, and using precision measuring tools callipers, micrometres, height gauges, bore gauges for in-process quality assurance are all examples of blueprint reading and precision metrology expertise. Basic G-Code Understanding & Wear Offset Capability: The capacity to read G-code/M-code program lines, correct tool wear offsets, modify work coordinate systems, and identify possible machine collision risks. Workshop discipline and industrial safety include strict adherence to shop-floor 5S standards, machine safety door interlocks, lockout/tagout LOTO procedures, and personal protective equipment PPE regulations.
