Mold Setter Production Changeover & Quality Job Description Experience: 3 to 5 yrs Salary: Based on Company Norms Education: Diploma/BE in Mech Location: In And Around Chennai Your Duties: Mold Changeover & Mounting: Safely align, mount, and clamp injection molds onto machines using torque tools, hydraulic clamps, or magnetic platens. Utility Hookups & Leak Testing: Connect and verify cooling water lines, chillers, Mold Temperature Control (MTC) units, hydraulic core pulls, hot runner cables, and air blow circuits. Safeguarding & Purging: Set mechanical ejector stops, verify Low-Pressure Mold Protection (LPMP) limits, execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and assist during material purging and trial shots. Rigging & Overhead Crane Operation: Safely operate overhead bridge cranes, hoists, and eyebolts during tool transportation, loading, and unloading. Setup Analytics & Downtime Logging: Record mold changeover durations, setup delay causes, maintenance issues, and trial clearance status using daily tracking logsheets and spreadsheets.
