Production Engineer Operations to Process Excellence Job Description Experience: 0 to 3 yrs Salary: Based on Company Norms Education: Diploma/BE in EEE Location: In And Around Chennai Your Duties: Plan, schedule, and oversee daily shop-floor production activities to achieve output schedules, cycle time targets, and quality standards. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), scrap/rejection rates, takt time, and line productivity. Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) on production bottlenecks, line stoppages, and non-conformances using tools like 5-Why, Fishbone, and 8D reports. Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies, Kaizen continuous improvements, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to eliminate waste and optimize workflow efficiency. Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Maintenance teams to prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process flow diagrams, and Control Plans. Manage new product introductions (NPI) on the shop floor, establishing line layouts, work instructions, and time-motion study standards.
