Job Description
Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Modern Trade (South India)Location: South IndiaExperience: 2 years of background in Beauty Care / Personal Care / Hygiene industry, handling Modern Trade sales across South India (Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana & Andhra Pradesh)Job SummaryWe are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager - Modern Trade to manage and expand our Modern Trade business across the South India region. The role involves driving sales growth, strengthening key account relationships, ensuring effective execution at stores, and managing distributor and promoter performance.Key Responsibilities- Manage Modern Trade operations across the entire South region.- Drive sales growth, revenue targets, and distribution expansion in Modern Trade accounts.- Handle key national & regional Modern Trade chains (e.g., Reliance, DMart, Spar, More, Lulu, etc.)- Plan and execute promotions, schemes, visibility initiatives, and product launches.- Ensure effective in-store execution, planogram adherence, and stock availability.- Coordinate with distributors, merchandisers, and promoters for smooth operations.- Monitor secondary sales, sell-through, and inventory management.- Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to recommend strategies.- Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and MIS.- Build strong relationships with buyers and internal stakeholders.Candidate Profile- Minimum 2 years of Modern Trade sales experience covering South India.- Prior experience in Beauty Care / Personal Care / Hygiene industry is mandatory.- Strong understanding of Modern Trade dynamics, joint business plans (JBP), and trade promotions.- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and regions independently.- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.- Willingness to travel extensively across South India.Education- Any graduate, MBA preferred.Key Skills- Modern Trade Sales- Key Account Management- Channel & Distributor Management- Sales Planning & Execution- Trade Marketing- Negotiation & Analytical Skills (ref:updazz.com)
