Job Description
Designation: Manager - Business DevelopmentDepartment: Sales and Business DevelopmentRole Purpose: The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying sales leads, pitching products and services to new clients, and maintaining strong working relationships with both new and existing customers.Reporting To:AVP - SBDVice President - Business Development (Hyundai / KIA)Key Responsibilities1) Develop strong understanding of all products offered by the division2) Acquire new clients through direct contact, referrals, and collaboration with the sales team3) Attend networking events to identify and engage prospective clients4) Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to ensure retention5) Work with senior leadership to identify and mitigate business risks6) Prepare business proposals and contracts to drive revenue growth7) Identify decision-makers within target accounts and initiate sales processes8) Penetrate target accounts and maximize revenue from existing clients9) Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations10) Negotiate commercial terms to secure competitive pricing11) Coordinate with HR to identify technical skill requirements supporting sales12) Capture customer feedback and implement improvements13) Support marketing initiatives such as trade shows and exhibitions14) Maintain and update customer data in the corporate database15) Foster a collaborative and cross-functional working environmentKey Performance Indicators (KPIs): Order booking, Repeat business for the division, New programs identified and won, Customer satisfaction.Role Requirements- Educational Qualifications: Engineering Graduate and/or MBA in Marketing / Sales- Experience : 12-15 years of experience in Sales / Business Development- Experience in Automotive Tier-1 companies- Preferred exposure to Stampings, BIW, or Chassis business- Experience dealing with Passenger Vehicle OEMs in India- Ability to communicate in English and local language (ref:updazz.com)
