Job Description
Role Summary:The Relationship Manager/Area Manager will be responsible for driving investments into the company s Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending product, which is positioned as an alternate asset class. The role is an individual contributor profile focused on expanding the B2B channel network by empaneling and managing Mutual Fund Distributors (MFDs), Individual Financial Advisors (IFAs), and other financial channel partners.Key Responsibilities:Channel Partner Acquisition & Management: - Identify, onboard, and empanel new financial channel partners, including MFDs, IFAs, brokers, and sub-brokers, to distribute the P2P investment product.
-Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with channel partners, acting as a brand ambassador for the company.
-Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, providing product education, training, and sales support.Business Development & Targets: - Achieve aggressive monthly and quarterly sales/investment targets (e.g., lumpsum and SIP/PTP) from the empanelled channel network.
-Drive product adoption and increase the penetration of the P2P product within the distributor base.
-Monitor partner performance and provide necessary guidance to help them meet their targets.Market & Industry Insight: - Develop a deep understanding of the P2P lending industry and its regulatory framework (RBI/NBFC).
-Analyze and segment the local market to identify high-potential channel partners.
-Monitor competitor activities and market trends to position the company s product effectively.Compliance & Documentation: - Ensure all channel partner activities are compliant with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
-Assist partners with the onboarding, documentation, and transaction processes.Required Experience and Skills- Experience: 3 years of proven B2B sales experience in the financial services industry, specifically within:- Asset Management Companies (AMC) / Mutual Funds- Broking/Securities Firms- Insurance or other NBFCs, focusing on the channel partner model.- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial products, investment vehicles (Mutual Funds, SIPs, equity, bonds, PMS/AIF), and capital markets. Prior knowledge of the P2P lending model is highly desirable.- Network: An established and active network of channel partners, including MFDs/IFAs, in the designated city/territory.Behavioral Competencies:- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.- Strong presentation and negotiation abilities.- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and confident in handling sales and recruitment targets.Education- MBA in Finance/Marketing or a related field is preferred.- Relevant financial certifications (e.g., NISM) are a plus.
